A good 20 hours into the game, and character development in this game is very strong. Before I started the game, I always thought that having to make conversation with in-game characters would be a drag. Turns out, these characters are very likable in their own way! Almost makes me wish I could talk to people like this in real life.Anyways, the ability to smoothly switch players between different realities is greatly handled, and though there’s many things to keep track of, you’ll find yourself getting used to knowing what to do.This game is very good for the vita since it’s easy to just drop in and out of the game while still staying interested in the story

This game is simply amazing. I’m not even really into JRPG’s or even anime for that matter. I only like a few, since I’m really picky about it. I’m new to the series, but I am blown away. It is addicting, every bit of it is well done, you MUST play it if you own a Vita. I was worried I wouldn’t like it since I’m pretty burned out as far as turn-based combat is concerned, but even that is implemented really well. The characters are amazing, and it’s a lot of fun to watch them develop as you progress through the story and come to understand their inner feelings. I’m not sure why it’s rated M. While there is some pretty heavy subject matter, none of it is really explicit besides the language. All in all this is one of the best games I have ever played, and I would recommend it to anyone that needs to justify their Vita purchase.

Absolutely the best portable gaming story you can ever experience on a portable device.I don’t want to say too much about the game and give spoilers away so I will just say that this game offers real depth that most games lack. This game is worth buying a PS Vita by itself. It is an incredibly visualizing game that will retain in your memory, like Zelda: TOoT.Stunning graphics. Breath-taking story. Immersive game play. If you don’t even own a PlayStation Vita you should consider purchasing one just to play this game!

Persona 4 Golden is just an expansion pack, to the content we had in Persona 4 for the Playstation 2 (and 3 if you downloaded it on PSN)This can be played on the Playstation Vita, and Playstation TV. For those wondering. There’s far more content on this, and would recommend purchasing either system to play this, over the original 4.Graphically, it’s a bit sharper on both, but the new cutscenes and content make it a big winner to me.Only complaint, there’s no manual! I know this is the new age, and manual’s are slowly going for digital ones. But I feel that RPG’s/JRPG’s deserve them. Especially with how big and colorful Persona 4 is. This doesn’t take away from my score, just a sad little sidenote for anyone hoping that it’ll come with one.

I have loved Persona from way back with Revelations: Persona on the Playstation 1. Amazing stories, fantastic characters, and just overall awesomeness. I know I am biased and a bit of a fangirl, I do admit this. But, seriously, the Persona series is just top notch. Each game has something the other games didn’t have. This new release of Persona 4 had so many additions from the original release of 4 on the Playstation 2. New S. Links, new game mode, new Velvet room character, new animated scenes, new alternate ending, motor bikes, costumes, gardening, bug catching, more fishing, more quests… So much. I also really enjoy the addition of the PSN trophies. Adds a little more difficulty to a game one may have played multiple times already. If you are a fan of the Persona series I suggest picking this up. 4 may never be as great as 2 (Innocent Sin) or 3, but all the extra additions makes it close.

This game originally came out for the PS2 which makes this a remake that may worry anyone looking to buy it. I had over 100 hours in the originally Persona 4 and the amount of content added definitely gives you enough of a reason to play through it again. It improves some minor complaints in Persona 4 such as being able to choose your skills the persona you fuse inherits and adds opportunities to raise social links. The amount of events added and additional personas is definitely notice. If you have never played this game before don’t fret, this game is still great. The characters are all very likable and many contain some high profile voice actors ( Vic Mignogna, Troy Baker , Johnny Bosch, Yuri Lowenthall,) . The plot is solving a murder mystery while preventing others from dying, this is done through many dungeon battles. The battles in these dungeons make grinding a once agonizing task, into something you will enjoy. This games battle system is turned based, and with the many combinations for your team, the possibilities are endless. Then your MC, he can do anything if you fuse personas ( creatures you get in the game), the combinations seem limitless and you will want to keep fusing to get the ultimate persona. This game’s cherry on top is the soundtrack, once you get into a boss battle or even a regular battle you will get music that doesn’t only make the battle more intense but grabs all your attention. This game was perfect as a ps2 game, but with the updated graphics.

A Japanese RPG series by Atlus that is arguably the best in the Persona series so far. This is packed full of features and is the "definitive" version to get. Unlike Persona 3 on PSP, this game doesn’t cut out cutscenes (pun intended). For those unfamiliar with Shin Megami Tensei, I’ve noticed an overall theme of collecting mythical creatures, spirits, gods, demons, etc. and then using those powers to fight with. The game can be divided primarily into three gameplay styles. 1: Lengthy dialogue scenes (some with voice acting, most without). 2: Dungeon crawling with 3D turn-based combat. 3: Time-management, odd-job, dating sim. The story and dialogue play out like a well-written and oftentimes humorous anime/manga and in fact a TV show was created based off this game. The game itself is weird and surrealistic, much like anime, and involves a plot of serial killings, understanding oneself, and creating lasting bonds and friendships. In my opinion, the game kind of falls apart at times when developing those friendships and I felt like more often than not I was only doing it for the stat advantages, 100% completion, or trophies. That being said, I suggest you play this game at your own pace, doing the things you want to do, and developing the relationships you want; at least for your first playthrough. Because the game is hyper-time sensitive (certain things must be done on certain days), it’s practically impossible to do everything in one playthrough without a game guide. Ke.

A little history about me I have own a multiple systems throughout the years and countless games.SNESSega genesisGameboyGameboy ColorN64Gameboy Advance and SPPlaystation 2gamecubeNintendo DsXbox 360WiiNintendo 3DsPlaystation 4PlayStation VitaI have a favorite in almost any genre, however for JRPG’s I honestly do not think right now from the ones I have played that are as good as Persona 4 Golden. I love Final Fantasy franchise and other Japanese developed games however this game has a story that is crafted with so much care that I was shocked to discover. Usually in Japanese games the stories are so overly complicated but not this game. The cut scenes are either in-engine or in anime form with most of the story dialogue voiced with such great voice actors and actresses. The gameplay is very strategic and fun, my sole compliant is the very limiting layouts of the dungeons. You can tell that the map design was placed on the back burner in favor of story, script, content, character designs and music. However everything else was very good. My first playthrough I played on hard which I would recommend to any JRPG fan with history. It took me about 80 hours to finish this game and I still haven’t seen everything what the game has to offer, which to be honest is longer than MOST console games and is more that worth the asking price of $20 for this game. This was my first Persona game and ,if you are anything like me, this will not be my last.

I love RPGs, but somehow, I managed to miss out on the Persona series until I played and finished Persona 5 this year. Persona 4 was Atlus’ gold egg laying goose (if the spin-offs didn’t tip you off), and I was determined to experience it. Experience I did, and I’m having so much fun. I’m about 30 hours in and I’m having an amazing time. Now, I need to ask: Why am I just getting to this?

Just so you know this game should not be rated M in fact I really think it could be something like E 10 and up. This is one of my favorite games off all time and I used to play it for hours on my ps2. I saw that this game was remastered for the ps Vita and I went out and got a ps Vita just so I could play this beautiful game. I have over 327 hours of gameplay and will continue to play it some more. I didn’t even mean to play it this much it just happened but be careful, as soon as you play this game your social life will slowly disappear.
