Since I finished FF7, 8, and 9 for the Playstation ONE (Yes I’m that old school), I haven’t found a single game that could match their caliber. Now, almost 13 years later, I discovered Persona 4 Golden on retrolio, for which the ratings were the highest I have ever seen for any product. I expected a lot from this game as a result, hoping that it wasn’t just all hype.Well, it EXCEEDED my already sky high expectations! No words can describe how much I love this game, but I will try.The story is unique and interesting. It’s definitely not your cookie cutter “kids go on an adventure and then save the world” type of plot. It mixes the mundane and supernatural; at times it’s dark, other times it’s lively and happy, yet bittersweet all the same. I don’t want to say anymore for fear of somehow revealing spoilers. Just know that it’s an extremely well developed and well rounded story that keeps you on edge. At times I hated having to fight in dungeons just because I wanted to get on with the story. That’s how good it is.The characters… Hmm, how do I put this. I personally believe the characters are the best part of this game. They are so real, so human-like. It’s not a black-or-white world and these characters are the very examples. Throughout the game each (major) character is so fully developed that I feel like they are my friends in real life. And even as a female I found myself getting attached to Yukiko. By the end of the game I was practically falling in love with her. Even now,.

The mission: you must make friends, gather allies and stop the murders and the killer in this mystery-based and twist-filled story.Definitely the best Vita game so far. Persona 4 Golden is a JRPG with a good story line, lovable characters, and an addictive dungeon crawler. You play as a new transfer student who moves to a small town just before a killer starts murdering people. You discover you have the ability to enter TVs into a world filled with monsters, and that you can to call on your own monsters, aka Persona. Your Persona gets more powerful by forging bonds and relationships with the people in your new town.A slandered play through is probably about 60 hours. The dungeon crawler part will probably take up about a quarter of this time. You wander through the 8 rather large dungeons (plus a smaller one that could be counted as a ninth), opening chest for supplies and fighting the monsters known as shadows. You do this for money, items and to get new Persona. The other way to get a new Persona is to fuse a few tougher The battles are turn by turn but there are other elements to account for like building a good team, paying attention to the different weakness of the shadows and the occasional support you may get from the allies not currently in the party. When you are not dungeon crawling, you are in town. You need to boost stats like courage and intelligence to make and strengthen the bonds you make with people. This is the true experience in this game. The characters ar.

Been playing this game for the past week and it’s extremely addicting! Read all of the great reviews about it beforehand, but even so I don’t know how I never played the original on PS2. This game has a lot going for it.The combat is turn-based, but you can get extra turns for a character on your team if you land a critical hit or strike an enemy’s weak point. You fight using the strengths of beings called Persona’s, which are essentially demons. As your character levels up you can fuse the Personas you collect to create even stronger Personas.Another interesting feature is social links. As you meet and spend time with specific characters in the game, you obtain experience for Arcana related to that character (an Arcana is essentially what class a persona falls into). This later allows you to gain special abilities for some of your character’s Persona’s and extra levels for a Persona you’re creating through fusion that is within that Arcana. You can also gain stat increases to your main character by doing certain tasks. It’s worth noting that a large majority of the tasks your perform consume a portion of a day. There are a lot of tasks you can do each day but there’s not enough time to do everything so you need to prioritize your tasks. As I said earlier, there’s a lot to do in this game aside from combat.I’d like to explain every aspect of this game, but there’s a lot of reviews that explain it better than I could, so I’ll leave it at this. Persona 4: Golden is one of the be.

Excellent game, one of my favorite of the series. Long enjoyable story with twist and turns, decent gameplay in a familar style, great characters to interact with in the nice countryside town of Inaba. Music is so good you’ll be singing the tunes in your head when you’re done playing wanting to go back as soon as you can. Very enjoyable game that can easily yield you two playthroughs and high replayability. Get it now!

In terms of plot, you (as the male main character) are a high-school student moving to the countryside to stay with a relative while your parents are overseas. Once you arrive in the small town of Inaba, you soon become enmeshed in a series of strange serial-killings that seem to relate to a television program known as The Midnight Show. You eventually make friends with a core group of students who become part of your investigation team, with additional people joining your team as the investigation progresses. There are a LOT of activities to participate in from fishing to reading to catching bugs or even building model robots, scooters, etc. if you want. You can also participate in the sports clubs or culture clubs (one of each only – you can’t be on the soccer team AND basketball team at the same time). The school clubs are basically additional stories and relationships that will provide you with two soul separate soul links (if you were hoping to actually play basketball…no). The key to advancing your power in combat is through building relationships with your friends and other individuals, and you can even develop romances with some of the characters if you want (or you can friendzone them permanently at a certain point in your relationship(s). As your soul links increase (think of them as friendship levels), they provide extra experience when you create new persona(s) and/or access to new and more powerful personas.Personas are basically aspects of your mind/personality.

I’m about 40 hours into Persona 4 Golden. I didn’t have a chance to play Persona 4 when it graced the PS2. Considering the age of the game, it doesn’t feel dated at all. The alternating periods between managing your social life and dungeon crawling are perfectly timed to keep game play fun and exciting. The story is deep and captivating, bringing you into the Persona 4 world so much so that you really feel connected to the characters in the game. I can’t wait to play Persona 4 Arena once I complete P4.Borderlands 2 was my favorite game heading towards the end of the year, but P4 really won out quite handily through its exciting story and game play.

Back in 2008 an RPG called Persona 4 hit the Western shores. It was the long awaited sequel to the well known PS2 RPG Persona 3, and before we knew it, it became a hit. Fans fell in love with the character’s, the gameplay, the school life "life sim" aspects, as well as it’s story. Although the game before it was just as popular among fans, Persona 4 took things to a whole new level. Soon there was a manga series to go along with it, a full anime, and even a direct sequel fighting game produced by Arc System Works. To put it simple, Persona 4 was a game that fans liked a lot, and because of that it evolved past just being a game. Well, things didn’t stop there. In 2012 a brand new version of Persona 4 hit the shelves for the PlayStation Vita called "Persona 4 Golden." Just what is Persona 4 Golden? Is it worth owning if you already had Persona 4? What about the new comers, is this a good place to start? Well, how about we find out?The Golden Story:Persona 4 Golden opens up with "you" being face to face with a strange man in what seems to be a limo. You are in the velvet room, a room that exists between reality and dreams, and you have been called there for a very special reason. Everything that happens in that room is tied to your fate, and it seems your life is about to change. The strange man sitting at the end of the limo is named Igor and he tells you just that. While your future is unclear, he gives you a warning, and asks for your name. At this poi.

If you’ve played Persona 3 and loved it – get this game.If you enjoy RPG’s – get this game.If you enjoy JRPG’s – get this game.If you love and appreciate thorough and extensive story lines, deep immersion in characters and dialogue options, and tons and tons of player choice, various activities, and both action and social experiences – yep, you guessed it… get this game.P4G is the ultimate way to play Persona 4 as it adds additional characters and story line depth. Additionally, the game itself is astounding. I easily put in 57 hours into my first play-through and I am preparing to give it a new round in New Game Plus. The battling system is extensive and reminiscent of Pokemon. The social link aspect is hilarious, captivating, and ridiculously enjoyable. The amount of player options and choices is ridiculous. I really can’t praise this game enough. Furthermore, the menu’s and overall aesthetic of the game is of the highest quality. The graphics and animated cut scenes and, in my opinion, the voice acting is excellent as well.I’ve been gaming for over 18 years now and P4G is without a doubt in my top 10 favorite games of all time.

Hands down, one of the best rpg I have EVER played. Took me almost 100 hours to complete this game the first play through…At the end I have only collected 75-80% of all the personas. Lots of trophies that you can receive as well. The game can be a bit confusing at first if this is your first persona game(like me) but, once you better understand the fusing process and the benefit of social links, you’ll really enjoy this game. This game isn’t like most I have played…the choices you make in this game will determine your ending…so be wise. :) I recommend you to follow a guide and start off in easy or normal mode.

I am a Persona fanatic. I love all things that come from Atlus, but this series is by far one of the best. (Of course, Devil Survivor is also good!) Persona 4 Golden is a really great remake of the PS2 version. I specifically purchased a PS Vita for this game. I even pre-ordered P4G before I even had the Vita itself. One of my only complaints about the remake is that they changed Chie’s voice, which I adored in the original game. Now she sounds nasally or like she has a cold all the time. The added features are really great. I like that I can go onto the game and listen to the soundtrack if I want. I also find the other additional features, like the TV show stuff, to be entertaining. Being able to fast-forward is also helpful if, like me, you’ve already played the original. I admit that sometimes watching the same stuff multiple times can be annoying.I also like how they added a new character, and that you can explore the town the moment you get there. The graphics are also pretty flawless for this remake. If you are a Persona fan, this is a must have for your collection. It is definitely worth the money, and, in my opinion, buying a Vita for.
