A spellbinder! Season 1’s format takes a little getting used to – but once you are acclimatized and get used to the “not knowing” position they put you in – it is impossible NOT to binge. ** Season 2 was incredible – so if you only have time for one season = 6 episodes – watch Season 2. Seasons 3, 4 and 5 all lived up to the expectation of being tense and dramatic. I was happy that the endings became less dark with each successive season. At one point – I was convinced that suicide was the only option for the truth seeking male protagonist… but thank goodness they did not take that route. Wonder if they are going to take the female protagonist “Kate” down the same road of being framed as her co-stars? It would mean quite a bit more character development for her.Can streaming junkies have “black-outs”? If so, this potent series can “definately” cause them.

It is almost impossible to be on the fifth series and still be as good as the first series…. Line of Duty continues to deliver a complex scenario full of surprises…. If you think you know… well you don’t until the last episode… I can see a series 6 brewing …. however I wonder if they can keep it this strong… this suspenseful? I bet they will.Goes to show you don’t need soft porn to sell good acting and directing… unlike 90% of so called movies and TV series out there these days.

This is the fifth season of Line Of Duty, a BBC production. Each season can be stand alone, but it is more rewarding and enriching to see each season. The show follows D.S. Steve Arnott played by Martin Compston, transferred to Anti-Corruption Unit 12 (AC-12) after refusing to cover-up an unlawful shooting. Arnott is partnered with D.C. Kate Fleming, played by Vicky McClure, an undercover officer who is a superb investigator. They work under the supervision of Superintendent Ted Hastings, played by Adrian Dunbar, who is one of several Senior Investigating Officers responsible for uncovering corruption within the police force. AC-12 investigates cases involving corrupt police officers. This is a well fashioned group of officers who work well together, and they have the ability to pull small clues to break cases. In this Season five, three police Officers have been killed while transferring drugs from one place to another. This hijacking seems to be an inside job, someone in the police world is leaking information to a mob organization. AC-12 needs to find the corrupt officer(s), and on the way to the investigation, someone has identified a top ranking officer as part of the crime group. All is not what it seems, of course. In the interim, we get to know the officers, their families, their secrets, and hopes and dreams. This is a well acted, directed and written series. Every little detail is well placed, surprises around each corner. There are six episodes, ranging from one.

Awesome! The U.K. produces much better well written stories, than Hollywood!
